The Clinical Coordinator for the Division of Hand Surgery is a vital role dedicated to ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency. This position involves coordinating patient scheduling to ensure timely appointments and rescheduling as needed, managing administrative processes related to EDD and FMLA forms for surgical patients, and collaborating with the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team to facilitate urgent appointments. The Clinical Coordinator will also navigate insurance authorization processes, utilize EPIC EMR and RightFax systems, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 3 years of current experience in orthopedic surgery,
Strong understanding of insurance authorization processes and related workflows.
Commitment to high-quality customer service and patient-centered care.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Medical Assistant experience.
- Expertise in hand surgery.
- Knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures and post-operative care.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $26.18 - $32.54
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
