DESCRIPTION

Department of Orthopedic Surgery is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Administrative Care Coordinator to manage a high volume of forms processing across multiple clinic locations as well scheduling and authorizations. This will role will report directly to the Associate Director of Orthopedic Surgery role. The Clinical Care Administrative Care Coordinator role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate completion of forms such as Plans of Care, EDD, and FMLA for surgical patients. The coordinator will collaborate closely with provider and clinic team members to secure necessary signatures, provide support with scheduling, authorizations and demonstrate thorough follow-up to ensure accuracy and completion of forms and authorizations. This position also involves utilizing Epic and RightFax for documentation and communication, coordinating with clinic staff across multiple locations to maintain workflow efficiency, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4 years of recent experience in busy practice.

  • Experience with forms management and coordination for surgical patients.

  • Familiar with EPIC and RightFax.

  • Knowledge of insurance and prior authorizations.

  • Proven attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience handling high volumes of administrative tasks in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior medical assistant experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $26.18 - $32.54

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
