Your Role
The Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan Medi-Cal Growth team is responsible for driving organic and inorganic membership growth for the Medi-Cal line of business. The Business Analyst, Senior will report to the Business Analyst, Principal. In this role you will transform ways in which the Medi-Cal Growth teams utilize data to accelerate growth and retention initiatives, develop meaningful interventions that improve member experience and quality, and support our community investments to advance health equity and impact cost of health care by addressing social drivers of health. Specifically, you will work side-by-side with leadership on increasing the department's data and analytics capabilities within areas such as member experience, segmentation, forecasting, predictive analytics, and ROI analysis to drive bold high impact decisions.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; master's degree in related field (e.g., MBA, MPH, MSc) preferred
- Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Knowledge of healthcare payer data across domains (claims, provider, member, clinical quality, risk, etc.), external and public data (SDoH, EMR, vendors, etc.) and how it can be leveraged to support value stories in RFP, strategy development, operations, and outcomes evaluation
- Ability to provide highly complex in-depth analysis and interpretation of data related to member enrollment and eligibility, community health and health equity
- Demonstrated experience in Tableau dashboard development
- Ability to think strategically with an end-to-end view and an eye for detail, is organized, and can manage multiple programs simultaneously
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 77990.00 to $ 116930.00 for California.

Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
