Job Summary

The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is seeking a Research Assistant Professor to support and extend the development and implementation of mobile health interventions for managing symptoms in chronic conditions, with a particular focus on cognitive dysfunction.  Their will directly impact the development of a cognitive rehabilitation intervention using digital platforms, aligning with the TRACC-R Center's mission to integrate technology into non-pharmacological care.  As a key addition to the Center, the candidate will bring their expertise in both advanced quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, which will complement and enhance the Center's research capabilities. Additionally, their active involvement in the University of Michigan Scleroderma Program and patient support groups will be invaluable in ensuring that interventions are tailored to the needs of patients, fostering improved engagement and outcomes. By joining our team, this new faculty role will play a pivotal role in advancing Center's mission to improve health outcomes through innovative, patient-oriented care. 

As a Research Assistant Professor in our Department, we anticipate that the majority of effort will be devoted to scholarly research activities related to the Telehealth & Rehabilitation Advancing Chronic Condition Research (TRACC-R) Center.  Expectations include participation in the supervision of students, research assistants, graduate students, and/or fellows.  As well as participation in writing grants, applying for independent (R series NIH Type) external funding and writing scientific papers.
