Computer Science Instructor
Itawamba Community College is accepting applications for a Computer Science instructor. This is a nine-month, full-time faculty position with an anticipated start date of August 13, 2025.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Computer Science or Information Systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in Computer Science (CSC) along with two years of teaching experience at a community college or university.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, organize and deliver high-quality instruction in assigned courses.
- Regularly review and refine course objectives and instructional strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Provide academic advising and guidance, connecting students with relevant college resources to support their academic success.
- Engage in professional growth and scholarly activities to foster continuous improvement and personal development.
- Participate in and support student-focused academic activities, such as sponsoring clubs, organizations or events.
