Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Police Officer for 2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm). Essential duties include: Patrolling interiors and exteriors of campus structures. Enforcing campus rules and regulations. Enforcing federal and Illinois state laws, rules and regulations. Monitoring campus electrical / mechanical systems. Securing campus facilities. Investigating reports of crimes and violations. Assisting campus personnel, students, and guests when needed. Rend Lake College is an EEO/Affirmative Action employer. - Must have completed basic law enforcement training from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
- Prior experience in law enforcement required.
- School resource officer experience or similar preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid Illinois driver's license.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a physical health examination
- $38,000 annually, or commensurate with education and experience
